BHS Stage 4 and Stage 5

As a BHS Where to Train Centre, Berkshire Riding Centre offers expert-led training for professionals working toward their Stage 4 and Stage 5 qualifications. With a team of experienced instructors, advanced school horses, and tailored support, we provide a comprehensive pathway for riders, coaches, and equine managers aiming to progress to the highest levels of the BHS career structure.

BHS Stage 4 Ride

We offer both private and group lessons with Rosie Lord, a Stage 5 Performance Coach in Complete Horsemanship. These sessions are designed to develop the advanced riding skills required for the Stage 4 assessment, including dressage, jumping, and cross-country.

Weekly Stage 4 Ride Lessons:

Tuesday 6:00–7:00 PM – Dressage Group
Saturday 8:30–9:30 AM – Jump Group
Saturday 10:30–11:30 AM – Dressage Group

These sessions are open to riders who are confident in walk, trot, and canter, and are looking to progress toward professional qualifications. Lessons are taught by experienced instructors familiar with BHS assessment criteria.

BHS Stage 4 Care and Lunge

BHS Stage 4 Coach and Management

We offer bespoke one-to-one sessions with one of our senior instructors providing feedback on your lesson planning and delivery of a lesson in an exam environment.

Please call reception on 01344 884992 to discuss more details. Please specify whether you would like to practise you lunge, jump group, semi-private arena cross country or dressage lesson.

We are in the process of producing BHS Stage 4 Coach and Management Training courses for 2022, these dates will be released soon.

BHS Stage 5 Training

We provide bespoke Stage 5 training with Rosie Lord, focusing on the Care and Management, Riding, and Coaching units. These sessions are tailored to your chosen exam pathway and delivered through private or small group lessons.
