Part-Time Receptionist (Sunday 8am-5pm & Monday 9am-6pm)
As front of house, your main responsibility will be engaging with our clients, whether that’d be in person, over the phone or email. You will manage and organise their bookings, customer enquiries and financial transactions.
You will be using our Equine Centre Management System, EC Pro, to create bookings as well as update our records on shoeing, worming, vaccinations and horses and staff days off. You will help prepare for examinations and events, including internal marketing.
You will be centre of communication between the yard and reception ensuring the staff are aware of any additional lessons or cancellations. You will also liaise with our suppliers and equine professionals including vets, farrier, saddler and physio – mainly organising or relaying information.
We are looking for someone with good user skills on Microsoft Excel and a good eye for detail.
You would work a 5 day week including at least one weekend day. You will be responsible for daily horse care and supporting our team of instructors; this will include exercising our riding school and livery horses and ponies.
- BHS Stage 2 (or equivalent experience)
- Full UK Drivers License
- Daily horse care including; mucking out, tacking up, bandaging (stable and exercise), lunging and exercising
- Clipping, pulling, dealing with youngsters, competition experience (Preferred but not required, training available on site)
- Working in a team and individually on a yard
We are looking for an confident, enthusiastic individual who enjoys teaching a variety of clients from children to adults, groups and privates from beginners to advanced. Ideally, you will be at, or working towards, BHSQ Level 2 Foundation Coach in Complete Horsemanship (BHS Stage 2), with experience of teaching for at least one year.
Whilst your main role would be teaching, like all staff, when not giving lessons you will be responsible for our daily horse care, this includes mucking out as well as exercising our riding school and livery horses and ponies.
