Vacancy – Equine Apprenticeship

Due to being let down by a recent applicant, we are reopening our vacancy for an apprentice.

This is a great opportunity to kick start your equestrian career. You’ll be fully supported and trained at the Centre, and be assigned a third party provider – Haddon Training. We have a  great track record of getting apprentices through the programme, and have gone on to employ most of them in the Centre.

If this opportunity sounds like something that may interest you, then send your CV now to tim@brc.uk.com

About the vacancy:

Our apprenticeship programme is one year long, aimed at 16-18 years who have had an interest in horse riding as a hobby and have now decided to purse your love of horses to your career.

You will be working with a third party agency, Haddon Training, and our in-house trainers. We will help you achieve nationally recognised NVQ qualifications through a structured training programme, gaining experience both on the job and through other work. We will also support you through your BHS qualifications starting with Stage 1 Complete Horsemanship.

You would work a 5 day week including at least one weekend day. You will be involved in all aspects of the yard, both horse care and supporting our team of instructors. Riding will be apart of your apprenticeship, ideally you will have a basic experience of this to progress towards your NVQ and BHS qualifications.

This job is not for the faint hearted as it involves hard work – both theory and practical – so you need to be well motivated, hard working, able to work in a team and individually, cope under pressure and be quick thinking.

As a BHS Where to Train Centre, we take your development seriously and will support you financially with exams and ensure you get the training you need. In return you will receive a competitive salary based on your experience and qualifications, 28 days paid holiday and support with your on going development.
